Then I ran into this LikeaSaturday post by Rachel. She made an awesome bathroom gallery wall. I was hooked. I loved the Rifle Paper Co. calendar she used. The calendar theme was cities!! Travel! I ordered my calendar online for $10 since the year is about to end it was on sale! Score. Got me some command strips and frames (NYTTJA 8.5 x 11") from Ikea. I decided to get the bigger frame though, unlike Rachel I wanted to keep the name of each city. Now my bedroom is all cute and awesome!
I had been trying to figure out how to pimp up my walls and make them more interesting. I knew I wanted to do a cool Gallery wall. I collect postcards from cities I visit so I thought maybe just frame them and hang them. Somehow I felt as if they did not go so well together or that I want to do something else with them. I was in a bind because I really wanted my gallery wall to have something to do with travel. I sat on that idea for a while.

I try to cook a lot of food on the weekends so that I avoid cooking after work. On the weekdays I just reheat. This stir-fry-like pasta is one of my favorites on the lazy days. It takes a very short time to prepare. Ingredients Pasta 1 Onion Pureed Tomatoes 1 tin Baked beans 250G beef mince meat Seasoning (salt, pepper, curry and spices) Soy Sauce + Worcestershire sauce Oil Step by step 1.Boil the pasta in salted water. I also add a little oil to stop the pasta from sticking (I think!) 2. While the pasta boils make the mince meat: Fry until the mince meat has browned well. Add onions and other veggies like carrots and peas if you got them. 3. Add the tomatoes and baked beans. 6. Add the pasta, mix everything like crazy and you are good to go! Let it simmer for at least 5 mins to set the flavors. And its done! Simple as that. Enjoy!
I was really craving a chocolate cake and it was real late to call my Mom and ask for her recipe. The craving was too much so I googled a recipe that looked similar to hers and Jennifer from Foodess came to my rescue with just the perfect one! This recipe was easy to follow. However I didnt have coffee because I dont drink it so I just substituted that with a cup of strong tea. Also it states that it should bake for 35 mins but my cake took 45 mins to be perfectly cooked! It was easy to make and only 15 mins preparation time!
Enjoy Sadza, a Zimbabwean staple food, is one of my favorite meals ever. I always like to have it with some leafy greens. Here I make it with some mustard greens in beef. You will need: For the Sadza: Corn meal For the relish:
Boil your meat in a cup of water. In the meantime cut up your leafy greens. I always start making my Sadza when the meat is still boiling. When the meat is tender and the water finished from the boiling fry it for a few minutes. Add the onion and mustard greens. Saute until cooked then add the tomatoes. Simmer for five minutes and its time to feast! Enjoy!
I feel like making stuff and i have inspiration now!
Got bored of this jug and decided to turn it into a silver vase. Two coats of this silver spray paint did the trick. I absolutely love the detail on the handle! Took me about 20 mins between coats and then I left it to dry undisturbed overnight.
